The Department

The Anaesthesia Department is fully accredited for specialist training and delivers a comprehensive and high-quality service across the hospital, including:
Pre-admission assessment clinics
Acute Pain Service rounds
Anaesthesia and sedation for medical and procedural services

The department has a solid teaching culture and supports a broad multidisciplinary training cohort, including:
Queensland Anaesthesia Rotational Training Scheme (QARTS) trainees
College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM) trainee
Rural Generalist trainee
Principal House Officers (PHOs)
Junior House Officers (JHOs)
Dedicated Acute Pain Service Nurse

Requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
FANZCA with specialist registration (or eligibility) with AHPRA
ANZCA Advanced Trainees within 6 months of attaining Fellowship
International Medical Graduates :
Assessed by ANZCA as Substantially Comparable
OR with ANZCA interview dates confirmed
Doctors from New Zealand, UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, South Africa, Hong Kong, and Taiwan are encouraged to apply and may be eligible for assessment pathways
