ABOUT THE COMPANY

Our client, a Sydney-based Local Council, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to provide leave cover within their team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive council environment and contribute from day one.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Temporary 1-month contract. Working alongside the Senior AP Officer, you will be working rapid-paced environment. The role will require your ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, bringing on-board your robust foundation in AP. Guidance will be provided with Council's systems and processes.

DUTIES
End-to-end accounts payable processing
Process invoices accurately and within deadlines
Perform statement and account reconciliations
Raise and manage purchase orders




Respond to supplier and internal stakeholder enquiries
Ensure compliance with Council policies and financial procedures

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Experience in Local Council or Government highly desirable
Experience using TechnologyOne (TechOne) is preferred
Relevant qualifications are desired but not mandatory
Strong administrative skills

CULTURE

Due to the nature of the contract, you will be expected to attend the office full-time. Your excellent communication and stakeholder interaction skills will play a critical part in the success of your role.

REMUNERATIONS & BENEFITS
$35ph-$40ph + Super
