School Crossing Supervisor – Part Time

Responsibilities
Supervise school crossings during the school zone hours of 8:00 AM–9:00 AM and 2:30 PM–3:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
Provide 20 hours of supervision per fortnight, with one hour shift in the morning and one hour in the afternoon.
Ensure the safety of children, parents, teachers, and local motorists by monitoring traffic and enforcing secure crossing procedures.
Maintain a visible presence and foster community relationships.
Respond to changing weather conditions and work consistently in all weather.

Qualifications & Requirements
Must be 18 years of age or older at appointment.
Reliable and able to show up consistently for scheduled shifts.
Effective communication skills and ability to identify potential dangers.
Willingness to obtain,



and in some cases possess, a Working with Children Check, Reference Checks, Police Check, and a Health Assessment.
Commitment to work in a child‑protective environment.

Perks
Hourly wage of $27.22 plus superannuation.
Compensation during school holidays from Terms 1 to 3.
All training, uniforms, and equipment provided.

Working Conditions

In‑person, on‑site role at St Aloysius Catholic Primary School – Chisholm. Shift times as outlined above. Work includes exposure to traffic and community engagement.
