School Crossing Supervisor – Casual – Tamworth Local Government Area

Transport for NSW is seeking a community‑minded individual to provide safety supervision at school crossing sites around Tamworth during school term hours (8:00‑9:30 am and 2:30‑4:00 pm, Monday to Friday). The role is casual, offering relief coverage as shifts of at least one hour are required.

Key Responsibilities
Act as a Road Safety Hero and be a visible, trusted safety presence at school cross‑walking points.
Assist in managing traffic flow and ensuring safe interactions between motorists, pedestrians, and school children.
Communicate clearly with parents, teachers, motorists and other stakeholders.
Respond effectively to potential dangers and maintain a protected workplace.





Qualifications & Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age at appointment.
Willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check, Reference Checks, Police Check and a Health Assessment (assistance provided if not already obtained).
Reliable and prepared to work in all weather conditions.
Effective communication skills and alertness to safety hazards.

Compensation & Perks

Hourly rate of AU$34.84 plus superannuation.

Training, uniforms and equipment are provided. The position is in‑person and on‑site.
