The Position

Sharp & Carter are partnering with a global organisation to recruit a temporary Payroll Officer. Based at the organisation's Head Office on the Gold Coast, this temporary opportunity offers free on-site parking, a collaborative payroll team. You'll gain exposure to complex payroll legislation, awards and enterprise agreements while developing your career within a globally recognised organisation renowned for its supportive culture.

As the Payroll Officer, you will ensure accurate, timely payroll delivery while providing exceptional customer service to employees and managers. You will partner closely with the business to develop a robust understanding of awards, agreements, and pay complexities, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities
Process weekly payroll ensuring accurate calculations for 4000 + employees;




Audit and analyse payrolls to ensure legislative, tax, superannuation, and award compliance;
Prepare and manage reports, reconciliations, and other internal payroll requirements;
Collaborate with HR on employee appointments, terminations, remuneration, and award matters;
Maintain accurate staff records, archiving, and adherence to company retention policies;
Support payroll system upgrades and continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience
Proven experience processing medium to large payrolls in a complex setting
Solid attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team approach
Eagerness to advance knowledge of technologies and online tools.
