HammondCare’s Respite Cottages provide short‑term accommodation and individualized support for older guests during stays of up to ten nights. As a Specialised Carer you’ll deliver personalized care and create a welcoming, home‑like environment.

About the role

In this role you will provide care for clients across our Wahroonga & Terrey Hills Cottages. Hourly rates range from $31.95 to $35.44, plus penalties. Shifts include:
Morning shift – 7:15am to 2:45pm
Afternoon shift – 2:45pm to 9:45pm
Night shift – 9:30pm to 7:45am

Responsibilities
Provide personal care including grooming and hygiene
Deliver care in accordance with individual care plans
Support guests during overnight or extended stays
Promote guest dignity and independence through daily activities
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate changes in care professionally

Qualifications & Experience
Available to work across Wahroonga & Terrey Hills sites
Patient, solutions‑focused, and a people‑person
Previous experience in aged or community care, or willingness to start a career in aged care
Valid driver’s licence and access to an insured, reliable car
CertificateIII in Aged Care or Individual Support (preferred,



but not required – we offer support for those wishing to qualify)
First aid certificate desirable
Empathy and compassion are a must
Good administrative and computer skills, including use of a smartphone
Strong team player with skilled communication and confidentiality
