The Prospect

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join the ARC department at their Sunshine site on Afternoon Shift (3:00pm – 11:00pm) . This is a great opportunity for a skilled tradesperson who enjoys hands-on mechanical work in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
Position: Maintenance Fitter – ARC Department
Location: Sunshine, VIC
Shift: Monday to Friday – 3:00pm to 11:00pm (Afternoon Shift)
Pay Rate: $75/hr
Type: Casual

What You’ll Be Doing
Performing preventative and breakdown maintenance on mechanical equipment
Diagnosing faults and completing timely repairs to support production
Operating MIG, ARC, and oxy-acetylene welding equipment
Machining components using lathe, mill, and drill




Maintaining and troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Ensuring equipment reliability and minimising downtime
Working within strict safety and quality standards

What We’re Looking For
Trade-qualified Mechanical / Maintenance Fitter
Strong experience in heavy industrial manufacturing environments
MIG, ARC, and oxy-acetylene welding skills
Machining experience (lathe, mill, drill)
Sound understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics
Forklift and EWP licences (essential)
Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident (no visa holders)
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently or in a team
