Our client is a specialist construction estimating firm supporting subcontractors, builders and quantity surveyors across Australia. They provide accurate, independent cost insights that reduce risk and enable smarter project decisions, backed by a practical, trade-aligned understanding of how projects are truly built. With fast turnarounds and structured documentation, they're growing rapidly and building out a strong, experienced estimating team.

About The Prospect

The primary purpose of this position is to prepare accurate, detailed estimates and tender submissions across a range of commercial construction projects, while stepping into a more senior, mentoring capacity within the team.

Your responsibilities will include:
Ensuring tenders are prepared and submitted accurately and on time
Supporting and mentoring junior estimators as they develop their skills
Analysing bid documents to identify risks and opportunities for client reviews
Preparing detailed trade breakups, bills of quantities and full tender submissions
Sourcing,



negotiating and securing competitive supplier and subcontractor pricing
Reviewing drawings and specifications to confirm documentation and define scope

About You

The successful candidate will have:
Leadership or mentoring experience
Experience working for a head contractor
A desire to progress into a Senior Estimator role
3+ years' commercial construction estimating experience
Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
Strong proficiency with estimating software such as BuildSoft, CostX or Bluebeam
