We are seeking a refined and motivated retail assistant to join our well loved Byron Bay bespoke fashion & homewares boutique with an interest in developing their management skills.
This role is ideal for someone who excels in customer care yet is also eager to step into greater responsibility and grow into future leadership opportunities within our boutique/company.
About the Role
As part of our team, you will:
Welcome clients with warmth and provide tailored styling advice
Uphold impeccable store presentation and assist with visual merchandising
Support stock management, reporting, and day-to-day operations
Take initiative in guiding and supporting the team during busy periods
Learn the foundations of boutique management, preparing for progression into a more senior role
What We're Looking For
Previous retail or customer service experience, ideally within homewares & design
A candidate with a solid eye for visual merchandising
Proven experience managing a team of 2-5 staff members, including rostering, training, and performance management
Strong interpersonal and organisational skills with a proactive mindset
A polished presence and genuine passion for client experience
Proficiency with retail POS systems (training provided on specific software),



inventory management, and basic reporting
Flexibility to work weekends and adapt to peak trading periods (December/January)
Must have a drivers license and own car
Minimum 2-3 years retail experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity
Must have unrestricted rights to work in Australia
