Rushway Transport is a locally owned transport company running a fleet of modern Kenworth, Mack and Volvo trucks, and associated trailers.
Due to fleet expansion and increased workload, we are seeking a fulltime heavy vehicle mechanic with outstanding aptitude for the job, solid work ethic and a desire for long term employment at our Rocklea depot.
The role will require you to repair and service a variety of heavy trucks and trailers and will include:
Carrying out scheduled maintenance and breakdown repairs
Fault finding, diagnosing and repairing problems as required
Maintain, test and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems and hydraulic systems
Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions and engines




To be successful in the role, you will possess the following:
Trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle/Diesel Mechanic
Ability and willingness to train apprentices
Ability to work to schedules with strong time management skills
A valid driver's license – HR/MC license is highly desirable but not essential
