An opportunity exists for a reliable and motivated fulltime Administration Assistant person to join our team.
The ability to multitask is a must for this position as it is not just an 'Office' role, no two days are the same and you may have to stop one task to do another then go back to your original task whilst still taking care of our customers by answering the sometimes very busy phones.
About the role:
Classic Meats Townsville supplies portion control and all processed meat requirements to our network of foodservice distribution facilities that supply to hotels, restaurants, clubs and institutions across North Queensland.
Duties include (but not limited to):
Generate sales and promote products and services on offer
Manage inbound and outbound calls with customers
Key orders from over the phone and email
Work co-operatively with all team members
General clerical duties and liaise with other departments
Other tasks throughout the business as required
Skills and experience:
Strong organisational skills
Accuracy
Positive mathematical skills
The ability to prioritise and multi-task
Confident phone manner and excellent communication skills
Superior customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships
Sales experience and an understanding of the foodservice industry or an allied industry
An understanding of the basic cuts of Meat & Chicken
Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
Excellent computer literacy, ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word etc and be able to quickly learn internal systems
Experience in food safety & compliance would be an advantage
