Job Description
Western Downs Motor Inn is hiring a Full time Chef role in Miles, QLD.
We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate should have a passion for cooking, a keen eye for detail and be committed to delivering an exceptional dining experience.
Minimum 3 years' experience as a Chef.
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation: Ensure all food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and quality.
Oversee preparation, cooking and presentation of all food items.
Maintain high standards of hygiene and Food safety in the kitchen.
Detailed knowledge of menu items.
Quality Control:



Address and resolve any issues related to food quality and consistency.
Kitchen Management: Manage stocktakes, including ordering, stocking, and supplies.
Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen setting.
Implement and monitor safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Administrative Duties: Schedule and manage kitchen staff shifts or rosters.
Maintain accurate records of recipes, stocktake and orders.
Qualifications
Certificate IV Commercial Cookery or equivalent or higher.
Current First Aid Certificate (maintained by employee).
