Toowoomba Plumbing Solutions is seeking a1st Year Apprentice Plumberto join our dynamic team on afull-time basisin Toowoomba and surrounding areas QLD.
This is an excellent opportunity to begin your career in the plumbing trade with a reputable and established local business.
As a 1st Year Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced plumbers, gaining practical hands‐on experience whilst completing your formal training.
This role is fundamental to developing the next generation of skilled tradespeople and offers a structured pathway to becoming a qualified plumber.
What you'll be doing
Assisting experienced plumbers on residential and commercial plumbing projects
Learning to install, repair and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures and fittings
Performing basic plumbing tasks under supervision, such as preparing work areas and assisting with installations
Helping to diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues on job sites
Carrying out some maintenance work
Learning to use hand tools, power tools and specialised plumbing equipment safely and correctly
Attending to customer needs and maintaining professional standards on site
Contributing to a safe and clean work environment by following health and safety procedures
Completing your apprenticeship training requirements and coursework at a registered training provider
What we are looking for
Year 12 or equivalent qualification, or demonstration of equivalent knowledge
A strong interest in the plumbing trade and commitment to learning
Physical fitness and ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces
Reliable,
punctual and professional attitude to work
Willingness to follow instructions and take direction from experienced tradespeople
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills and customer service awareness
A current valid driver's licence is required and vehicle
White Card
Relevant pre‐apprenticeship qualifications or experience in trades are advantageous but not essential
