Bama Services is looking for an experienced Garden Maintenance Manager to lead the operational and commercial performance of our growing maintenance division.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can bring out the best in people, keep multiple crews and contracts running safely and efficiently, and build trusted client relationships. You will have the autonomy to improve the way work is planned and delivered - while helping create meaningful employment and career pathways for First Nations people.

About the Role
You will lead supervisors and crews working across multiple sites, with accountability for service quality, workforce planning, assets, budgets, safety and client satisfaction. You will also identify new opportunities, prepare quotations and tenders, and help grow services with existing and prospective clients.
What You'll Lead
Plan and coordinate multiple garden maintenance crews to deliver work on time, within budget and to specification.
Coach supervisors and crew members, build accountability and support training, progression and Indigenous career development.
Manage plant, vehicles, trailers, machinery,
tools and consumables to maximise utilisation and minimise downtime.
Monitor contract performance, labour costs, materials, productivity, budgets and key performance indicators.
Build strong client relationships, conduct site inspections and resolve operational matters promptly and professionally.
Identify new maintenance and landscaping opportunities and prepare competitive quotations, tenders and maintenance programs.
Champion a strong safety culture and ensure work complies with WHS, environmental, quality and contractual requirements.
Drive practical improvements that lift service quality, customer satisfaction and profitability.
About You
You are an experienced garden maintenance or landscaping leader who is equally comfortable on site, with a client and reviewing the numbers. You set explicit standards, solve problems early and know how to turn good planning into reliable delivery.
To Be Successful, You Will Have
Demonstrated experience managing commercial garden maintenance or landscaping operations, including multiple crews across different worksites.
Proven people leadership skills and the ability to coach, develop and hold teams accountable.
Strong capability in scheduling, resource allocation, operational planning and plant and equipment utilisation.
Business development and client relationship experience,
including preparing quotations and tenders.
Sound financial and commercial acumen, with experience managing contract profitability, costs and budgets.
Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills, plus sound Microsoft Office capability.
A current Queensland Driver Licence, Construction White Card (or ability to obtain) and Working with Children Blue Card (or ability to obtain).
Highly Regarded
Certificate IV or Diploma in Horticulture, Landscaping or Business Management.
Experience delivering government contracts or knowledge of Indigenous employment initiatives.
First Aid, Traffic Management, chainsaw, chemical application (ACDC) or other relevant industry licences.
