Are you an experienced Architectural Draftsperson, Building Designer or Architectural Technician looking to join a well-established residential design and construction company where you can further develop your technical skills while working on a diverse range of residential projects?
Our client is a well-established residential design and construction company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, functional homes across NSW. With a pipeline of approximately 200 projects annually, they continue to invest in innovation, quality design and their people.
This is a hands-on technical role where you'll work closely with the design team to produce accurate, high-quality documentation from concept through to approval-ready plans.
About the Role
You'll be responsible for preparing detailed residential documentation and supporting the delivery of projects from concept through to approvals.
Working alongside an experienced team, you'll contribute to high-quality residential designs while ensuring documentation is accurate, compliant and delivered on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Produce high-quality architectural documentation using ArchiCAD
Prepare construction and approval documentation for residential projects
Assist with design development from concept through to final documentation
Ensure drawings comply with NCC, NSW Planning requirements and relevant Development Control Plans
Coordinate documentation with internal estimating, construction and sales teams
Review drawings for accuracy and minimise rework
Manage project documentation and revisions throughout the design process
Contribute to continuous improvement of residential design standards and processes
About You To be successful, you'll bring:
Degree or Diploma qualification in Architecture, Building Design or a related discipline
Minimum 3 years' experience in residential architectural drafting or building design
Advanced ArchiCAD experience
Strong understanding of NCC/BCA and residential construction
Excellent documentation and detailing skills
Strong organisational and time management skills
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects in a rapid-paced environment
