Your Impact
As a full-time Payroll Manager, you will play a key role in;
Managing the end-to-end payroll function of Good Sammy to deliver a compliant payroll service, with a significant focus on accuracy and timeliness.
Driving a significant focus on systems improvements, including identifying ways to improve efficiency.
Being a commercially focused Payroll Manager with an Enterprise First mindset.
Collaborating with the HR team, as well as the broader business, to deliver service excellence and drive continuous improvement.
What you'll do;
Manage the end-to-end process of the payroll process to ensure accurate, timely and confidential payment of wages, benefits and deductions.
Maintain up to date expertise in legislation and policy to ensure statutory compliance.
Implement regular payroll audits to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
Provide excellent and timely customer service to all staff.
Provide subject level matter expertise and advice on legislative changes and other complex payroll matters to Executive.
Introduce a regime of monthly payroll reports to Executive incorporating key Payroll metrics.
Ensure all monthly ATO, Single Touch Payroll (STP) and other statutory reporting obligations are completed in a timely manner.
Identify and drive enhancements to systems and processes, including integration and automation opportunities with the Finance and HR systems.
Oversee the preparation and reconciliation of monthly payroll reconciliations, including collaborating with the Finance Team.
Update the payroll procedures and checklists as required.
Provide training and support to Managers and Supervisors on payroll procedures and related requirements.
Identify potential future systems and other enhancements to eliminate manual processes and deliver efficiencies.
What you'll bring;
Demonstrated experience in managing payroll in medium to large organisations with over 800 employees.
Ability to interpret and apply complex Enterprise Agreement (EA) awards and contracts.
Proven experience in the use of Definitiv payroll system or equivalent.
Passionate about developing and fostering team culture, building capability and driving high performance.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to relate and collaborate with people at all levels.
Excellent problem solving and lateral thinking skills.
Proven stakeholder management expertise.
Strong organisational skills including the ability to prioritise and manage multiple priorities.
Strong computer skills, including an intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
