We are currently seeking an
experienced Boilermaker/Welder
to join our
shore-side maintenance team at Cape Lambert
.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintenance, repairs and fault finding on our tug and small craft fleet supporting marine operations in the Pilbara.
You will work as part of a shore-based maintenance team focused on safe, efficient and reliable vessel operations.

Key Responsibilities
Maintain strong adherence to safety standards and procedures
Comply with all isolation, permit and Critical Risk Management requirements under Westug and Rio Tinto standards
Carry out maintenance and repairs on tug and small craft vessels
Ensure maintenance records and reports are accurately entered into the CMMS
Prepare work tasks by ensuring parts, materials and safety systems are ready
Identify reliability issues and help implement improvements
Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and worksite organisation
Skills & Experience
Trade Certificate in Fabrication and Welding essential, high mechanical aptitude is highly desirable
Experience welding of exotic materials (copper nickel, stainless steel, aluminium) using tig process is essential
Experience replacing or repairing broken/ wasted structures and pipes using hand and power tools, gas torches and welding equipment
Ability to work proactively and collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels
WA Manual C Class Driver's Licence (essential). HR licence (desirable)
Full working rights in Australia
Ability to obtain or provide a National Police Clearance or MSIC
Experience in the Marine industry associated with boilermaker and fabrication trades
