Procurement Specialist - Defence Programs - Contract opportunity in Canberra
Your new company An established Defence consultancy is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to support a high-profile Defence transition program.
This role will play a critical part in delivering complex procurement and contract management activities associated with a significant Defence transformation initiative.
Working within a team-oriented stakeholder setting, you will provide expert procurement, commercial and contract management advice, supporting the development and implementation of contract amendments, governance processes and procurement outcomes.
Your new role Managing procurement and contract management activities across a large-scale Defence services contract.
Developing contract variations, contract change proposals and procurement documentation.
Providing specialist commercial and procurement advice to senior stakeholders.
Supporting governance, compliance and approval processes.
Managing procurement risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
Engaging with legal, commercial and operational stakeholders.
Preparing briefs, submissions and executive-level documentation.
Supporting negotiations and implementation of contractual outcomes.
What you'll need to succeed
Demonstrated experience in Commonwealth procurement and contract management.
Strong knowledge of the PGPA Act and Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs).
Experience preparing procurement documentation, commercial agreements and contract variations.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
Strong written communication and governance reporting capability.
Ability to work independently in a complex government environment.
Current Baseline Security Clearance.
