The Role
The
Business Analytics Lead
manages the development and delivery of a contemporary business analytics capability across Support Services.
The role is responsible for turning complex data into meaningful insights that support strategic planning, operational decision making, performance measurement and continuous improvement.
Working in partnership with senior leaders and stakeholders across the organisation, the position provides expert advice and leadership to ensure decisions are informed by reliable data, evidence and best practice analytics.
This role also drives the design and implementation of scalable analytics frameworks, reporting solutions and data visualisation tools that improve organisational performance and service delivery.
The Business Analytics Lead fosters a high-performing, customer-focused and values-based culture, while building capability across teams and promoting innovative approaches to solving business challenges and delivering positive outcomes for the community.
To be successful you will have




demonstrated ability to model and lead performance excellence and a values-based culture in line with Council's Leadership Blueprint.
extensive business analytics expertise, with the ability to analyse complex data, identify trends and opportunities, and provide strategic recommendations that support informed decision making
highly developed communication skills, including the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights, reports and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences
proven experience designing and implementing analytics frameworks, performance measures, dashboards and reporting solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes and support organisational improvement
experience using data visualisation and business intelligence platforms such as Power BI or similar analytics tools
strong understanding of organisational performance frameworks, continuous improvement methodologies and change management principles.
