Manage and mentor a team of grid connection engineers, fostering their career development and ensuring high-quality project deliverables.
Oversee the technical design and analysis of grid connection schemes for renewable energy projects, energy storage systems, and other power generation assets.
Develop and implement strategies for grid code compliance, including carrying out grid compliance studies (e.g., fault ride-through, reactive power capability, power quality).
Act as the primary technical interface with Transmission System Operators (TSOs) and Distribution System Operators (DSOs) for grid connection negotiations and approvals.
Lead the preparation of technical specifications, tender documentation, and detailed design reports related to grid connection infrastructure.
Conduct technical reviews of third-party designs and provide expert advice on grid integration challenges.
Identify and mitigate technical risks associated with grid connection projects, proposing innovative solutions.
Stay abreast of evolving grid codes, industry standards, and emerging technologies in power system integration.
Your background:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in power systems engineering,
with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior technical role focused on grid connection.
Proven expertise in grid code requirements (e.g., ENTSO-E, national grid codes) and their application to large-scale energy projects.
Strong understanding of power system analysis software (e.g., PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP).
Experience with STATCOM, SVC, and other grid ancillary services technologies.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to manage complex technical discussions.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
