Job Description Respond promptly and professionally to guest maintenance requests to minimise disruption and enhance the guest experience.
Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house facilities, and hotel equipment.
Perform general building maintenance, repairs, and fault finding to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the hotels.
Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, hydraulic, air conditioning, and mechanical maintenance in accordance with qualifications and competency.
Maintain the presentation and functionality of external façades, public spaces, and high-traffic areas to the highest standard.
Undertake painting, patching, and repairs to internal and external surfaces, fixtures, furniture, and equipment.
Prepare, mix, and apply paints, stains, varnishes, lacquers, and other finishes using appropriate tools and techniques.
Repair and install wall coverings, carry out caulking and grouting, and complete finishing works to a high standard.
Conduct routine inspections, identify maintenance issues, and report or rectify defects in a timely manner.
Follow all Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements, secure work procedures, and hotel maintenance standards.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders using the hotel's maintenance management system.
Collaborate effectively with the Engineering team and other hotel departments to ensure efficient operations and exceptional guest satisfaction.
Qualifications A positive can-do attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.




Relevant trade qualification or demonstrated maintenance experience (desirable).
Sound knowledge of general building maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and air conditioning systems.
Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also contributing positively to a team environment.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer service.
Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace and complying with Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.
Flexibility to work across a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends, public holidays, and on-call duties where required (penalty rates apply).
