Environmental Coordinator / Junior Environmental Engineer - Civil Infrastructure Project
Our client, a well-established civil contractor, is looking for a Junior Environmental Coordinator/Engineer to join their team on a major civil infrastructure project in the Blue Mountains. This is a temp/contract role for 6-8 months, and a great prospect for someone early in their environmental career to get hands-on exposure on a large-scale construction site, working alongside an experienced environmental and compliance team.
About the role:
6-8 month temp/contract assignment
Conducting noise and vibration monitoring across the project site
Supporting environmental compliance obligations, including REF/EIS conditions and licence requirements
Assisting with environmental inspections, audits and non-conformance reporting
Maintaining environmental management plans and site documentation
Liaising with the environment and sustainability team, subcontractors and site personnel
Supporting incident investigations and corrective action tracking
General environmental administration and reporting
About you:
Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or similar
1-2 years' experience in a similar role, ideally on a civil or infrastructure construction project (graduates with relevant site exposure will also be considered)
Understanding of noise monitoring equipment and environmental compliance processes
Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a site team
Current driver's licence and White Card
