Medical Receptionist – Respiratory Specialist Practice (Part-Time)
We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic and highly organised
Medical Receptionist
to join our busy and well-established Respiratory Specialist practice.
This part-time position requires availability
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 8:00 am to 4PM - 4:30 pm
, with an average of
***** hours per fortnight
. The role will initially be offered on a
3-month temporary basis
, with the opportunity to become
permanent
following a successful probationary period.
The successful applicant will enjoy working in a fast-paced medical environment and possess excellent communication, organisational and customer service skills. While previous experience in a medical reception role is highly desirable, comprehensive training will be provided to the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Greet patients and provide exceptional customer service.
Answer telephone enquiries and schedule appointments.
Liaise with patients, their families and other healthcare providers.




Process billing and payments.
Perform general administrative and office duties.
Undertake medical typing when required.

The ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment.
Confidence in using computers and technology.

The ability to learn recent skills and adapt to changing workplace requirements.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Previous experience in a medical practice is desirable but not essential.
A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
