Fox Personnel have been appointed by one of our customers to assist with recruitment for a Dispatch Officer.
This is a temporary position with the potential to develop into a long-term/permanent role for the right candidate.
About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on Dispatch Officer to join the production and dispatch team.
This is a varied role suited to someone who's practical, safety-conscious, and comfortable moving between dispatch, packing, and light foundry/fabrication support work.
You'll report to the Team Leader and work closely with the Production Coordinator, Team Leaders, Dispatch Officers, Steel Fabricators, Fettlers, and Trades Assistants.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure coatings and colours (galvanising, powder coating, etc.) meet customer specifications as per the Works Order
Deliver to and collect products from suppliers such as powder coaters and galvanising plants when required
Select correct packaging materials for individual orders and pack finished products to a high standard to prevent transit damage
Ensure all component parts (nuts, bolts, fixings, etc.) are included with orders
Assemble furniture products using air and power tools,



including flat-pack shelters and restrooms
Load and unload transport carriers as required
Liaise daily with the Production Coordinator on dispatch dates
Liaise with the Team Leader to maintain adequate packaging supplies
Assist in the Fettling and Foundry area when required
Assist with timber preparation (cutting, drilling, staining) according to Works Orders
Complete Works Order sheets as required
Maintain a clean, secure working environment and carry out all duties safely
Understand and follow Quality Procedures and Work Instructions relevant to the role
Identify problems and help initiate/coordinate corrective actions to prevent non-conformities in product, process, or Quality System
Maintain accurate records as required
Role Requirements
Experience using power tools
Current Forklift License
Current Driver's License
Additional information
Pack, dispatch, and load/unload finished products
Assist with fettling, foundry, and timber preparation as needed
