About the role
Plico is one of Western Australia's largest residential solar and battery providers.
We're creating a Senior Operations Project Manager to take ownership of our most important delivery programs - from large residential install rollouts to service remediation and warranty recovery - and see them through to completion.
This is a role for a safe pair of hands: someone who has carried complex operational projects before, who brings calm judgement under pressure, and who can hold installers, suppliers, partners and customers to a single plan.
You'll report to the Chief Operations Officer and work alongside the Head of Installations, Head of Customer Experience and Quality Manager.
What you'll do
Lead the end-to-end delivery of VIP and priority projects - solar and battery installs across residential developments – liaising with developer and builders, coordinating installer crews, equipment supply, scheduling and customer onboarding through to sign-off.
Own the plan: scope, schedule, budget, risk and dependencies, with clear milestones and a single source of truth that stakeholders can rely on.
Engage key stakeholders - customers, developers, distributors, suppliers, subcontractors, Western Power and internal teams - keeping everyone aligned, informed and accountable to commitments.
Turn around our service-remediation cohorts: diagnose what went wrong, drive timely fixes, and build the SOPs that make resolution efficient and repeatable.
Own warranty claims end-to-end - fast resolutions, recovered costs, happy customers, and a process that scales.
Solve problems quickly and decide well: escalate early, weigh safety, cost, compliance and customer impact, and make high-quality decisions you can defend - then document them so they stick.
Build the systems, standards and team accountability that make delivery repeatable and high quality, including project governance, reporting cadence and post-project reviews.




Champion safety and compliance on every project - no delivery outcome comes ahead of a protected, compliant installation.
Stay hands-on - you'll personally drive the outcomes that matter, on site and in the detail when it counts.

What success looks like
We measure this role on delivery, quality and stakeholder confidence.
Targets are set with the COO and reviewed quarterly.
First 30 days: full handover of the live project portfolio; a documented status, risk and stakeholder map for each; relationships established with key installers, suppliers and partners.
First 90 days: every priority project on a baselined plan with agreed milestones; a weekly delivery and exception report operating; the top three delivery bottlenecks identified with remediation plans underway.
First 6 months: the service-remediation backlog cleared to an agreed target; warranty claims running to a defined SLA; SOPs and governance in place and adopted by the team.
First 12 months: a predictable, measurable delivery function - projects landing on time and on budget as business as usual, with customer and stakeholder satisfaction demonstrably improved.
What you'll bring
Essential
5+ years leading multiple operational or delivery projects end-to-end, with clear accountability for schedule, cost and quality outcomes.
A demonstrable track record of rescuing or turning around at-risk projects - evidence you're a safe pair of hands under pressure.
Strong stakeholder management: confident engaging customers, executives,



suppliers, subcontractors and site crews, and holding them to commitments.
Sharp problem-solving and prioritisation - fast, well-reasoned decisions with the judgement to know what to escalate.
Excellent written and verbal communication, including concise reporting to a senior leadership audience.
The instinct to build process and structure - and the willingness to roll up your sleeves and get it done.
A genuine customer-experience focus, and comfort working to data, dashboards and KPIs.
Current Australian working rights, a valid driver's licence, and willingness to travel to site and interstate as required.
Desirable
An electrical engineering background, or residential solar / renewables / construction / utilities experience - and the ability to apply that technical know-how.
Formal project management credentials (PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM) or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with White Card, construction safety systems, or WA electrical and network approval processes.
