About the Role
The purpose of this role is to take responsibility for executing CCIWA's content strategy to grow our audience across WA, and to keep members and the business community informed of CCIWA's advocacy efforts, showcase our services and provide insights into the major challenges faced by our members and the broader business community.
Success in this role raises awareness and increases knowledge of CCIWA's brand and business units to generate greater engagement with members.
This is a
full-time, permanent
position that will be based in the Perth CBD office.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop and deliver strategic, brand-aligned content across our channels to support CCIWA's goals, advocacy efforts, and audience engagement.
Identify, create and manage high-quality content from concept to publication, including articles, websites, social media, newsletters, videos and other communication platforms.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to source stories and promote key initiatives.
Drive innovation in content delivery by identifying new channels, growing audience reach, increasing member engagement, and supporting member acquisition.
Optimise content for search engines, AI outputs, social media performance and member experience, while contributing to influencer and follower growth strategies.
Measure and analyse content effectiveness, maintain content calendars, and contribute to continuous improvement, innovation and strategic problem-solving within the team.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Minimum 4 years' experience in a communications, content or journalism role.
Broad experience in multi-channel content creation, from planning to execution including social (LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram) and digital media content and communications (newsletters, articles, video scripts, website copy).
Strategic thinker and storyteller, able to create content that aligns with the organisational brand, strategy and engages members.
Ability to interpret and translate technical,



complex information into language and content suitable for different audiences.
An innovative thinker, with a robust instinct of what makes a good story and is skilled in sourcing information.
Has a sound understanding of the political landscape and how content can impact on the organisation's ability to influence.
Experience in producing quality content in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to work independently with competing deadlines.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience building relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and ability to negotiate and influence at all levels.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to drive decision-making and outcomes.
Outstanding writing and editing skills.
Experience writing content for a business audience including mining, energy, defence, trade, supply chains and industrial relations (highly desirable)
