About the Role
As a Homelessness Case Manager, you will work alongside individuals and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness, supporting them to access and sustain safe, secure housing and achieve positive, long-term outcomes.
You will provide culturally safe, trauma-informed and strengths-based support through outreach, advocacy and collaborative service coordination, helping participants build independence, strengthen resilience and create lasting change.
Based in Broome, this role involves outreach and service delivery across the West Kimberley.
Key responsibilities will include:
Providing housing-focused case management and tenancy sustainment support.
Engaging with individuals experiencing homelessness through outreach and community-based support.
Conducting assessments and developing person-centred support plans.
Coordinating referrals and working collaboratively with government and community service providers.
Advocating on behalf of participants to improve access to housing and essential support services.
Maintaining accurate case notes, records and program documentation.
Contributing to continuous quality improvement and positive participant outcomes.

About You

For this role, we recognise that applicants may demonstrate the required capabilities through one or more of the following:
Qualifications and Professional Experience:
A Certificate IV, Diploma or Degree in Community Services, Social Work, Human Services, Housing, Psychology, Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs, Aboriginal Health, or a related discipline.
Relevant experience delivering case management, housing support or human services within government, community organisations or Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations.
Lived Expertise and Community Capability:
Lived experience of homelessness, housing insecurity, trauma, recovery, family violence, caring responsibilities or navigating complex service systems.
Experience gained through community leadership, cultural leadership, peer work, volunteering or employment supporting Aboriginal people, vulnerable individuals, families or communities.
A demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning, professional development and reflective practice.
Essential Requirements:

Current WA C Class Driver's Licence.
National Police Clearance
Working with Children Check
Current First Aid Certificate.

Level 4 salary between $92,279 and $99,294 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience).
Five (5) weeks annual leave, inclusive of leave loading.
Generous salary packaging of up to $31,800 per annum, including remote area salary packaging advantages (subject to eligibility).
