Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic Trade Assistant to support our workshop team in the repair, maintenance and rebuild of large mobile mining equipment.
This is a Monday to Friday workshop-based role, with overtime opportunities available for those looking to maximise their earnings.
This position is ideal for someone with mechanical aptitude who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced workshop environment and is looking to build a long-term career within the mining and heavy equipment industry.

Key Responsibilities
Assist Heavy-Duty Diesel Fitters with maintenance, repairs and component change-outs.
Prepare tools, equipment and work areas for maintenance activities.
Perform general workshop duties including cleaning, housekeeping and maintaining a safe work environment.
Operate hand tools, power tools, lifting equipment and workshop machinery safely.
Assist with inspections, servicing and rebuilding of mining equipment.
Remove, clean and refit components under the direction of qualified tradespeople.
Load and unload parts and materials.
Follow all company safety procedures, policies and work instructions.
Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Essential Requirements
Current Australian Driver's Licence (minimum C Class).
Previous experience as a Trade Assistant, Mechanical Trade Assistant or in a similar hands-on workshop environment.
Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand and power tools.
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
Reliable work ethic with a willingness to learn.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling tasks.
Unrestricted Australian working rights.
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening.
Desirable but Not Essential
Previous experience working on mining or heavy mobile equipment.
Experience with OEM equipment including Komatsu, Caterpillar (CAT) and Hitachi.
Forklift Licence (LF).
High Risk Work Licence (WP, DG, RB, CN).
HR Driver's Licence.
Dogging or Rigging experience.
Overhead crane experience.
Basic welding, fabrication or mechanical experience.
Current First Aid Certificate.
