Working within a fast paced and collaborative cybersecurity team, you will play a key role in assessing risks, improving security posture and ensuring compliance with Australian Government security frameworks.
Your new role
As the Lead Cyber Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting security risk assessments across a range of ICT environments, including Azure Cloud, legacy systems, AI technologies and other complex platforms.
You will develop and review key security documentation, provide expert security advice, engage with technical and non technical stakeholders, and present findings and recommendations to senior executives.Key responsibilities include:
Conducting security risk assessments and security reviewsDeveloping and maintaining security documentation and artefactsProviding guidance on PSPF,



ISM and Essential Eight requirementsAssessing application and system designs from a security perspectivePresenting security findings and recommendations to senior stakeholdersSupporting initiatives to improve organisational security postureCollaborating with project and technical teams to ensure security complianceWhat you'll need to succeedMust hold a current NV1 Security ClearanceMust be based in Canberra3-5 years' experience conducting cybersecurity risk assessments within government environmentsDemonstrated experience assessing Azure Cloud, AI technologies, legacy and complex ICT systemsStrong knowledge of PSPF, ISM and Essential Eight frameworksExperience engaging with both technical and non technical stakeholdersAbility to present security risks, findings and recommendations to senior executive audiencesStrong understanding of networking infrastructureExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience with Azure DevOps will be highly regardedWhat you'll get in returnInitial 12 month contractTwo further 12 month extension optionsOpportunity to work on complex and high impact cybersecurity initiativesCollaborative and high performing team environmentExposure to modern cloud, AI and enterprise technology environmentsCanberra based opportunityWhat you need to do now
