The role focuses on ensuring high availability, automation, scalability, performance tuning and lifecycle management across on prem and hybrid cloud environments.Key ResponsibilitiesNOCR recent platforms( VMware, OpenShift, Backup and storage ) and handover to operationsOnboarding platform to security controls ( Nessus, Pentest and Prisma)Remediate and fix vulnerabilitiesOnboarding assets to TPAM/Safeguard platform for privilege access accountsTenant and host migrations planningOnboarding new tenants to the VMware /OpenShift platformPerformance optimization and capacity planningLDAP/AD integration and UAM onboardingManage VMware vSphere infrastructureBuilding new ESXi clusters/ serversRequired Skills & Experience5+ years engineering experience across enterprise VMware platforms:vSphere,



ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, NSX THands on experience deploying and operating OpenShift clusters (OCP3.x/4.x)Strong understanding of Kubernetes, containers, registries, operators and networkingPractical automation experience with:Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Git, Jenkins / GitLab CI , Nessus, Pentest and PrismaStorage and network fundamentals (NFS, iSCSI, Load Balancers, DNS, TLS)Experience with monitoring and logging (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, SplunkNice to HaveRHCSA / RHCE / OpenShift certificationsVMware VCP / VCAP certificationsCloud knowledge (AWS, Azure, GCP)Experience with Service Mesh, API Gateways or GitOps (ArgoCD)Scripting: Bash / PythonPrevious working experience with Australia Telcos are preferredAbility to support 24x7 or on call environments (if required)Note - Must have valid Australian work Authorization.
