The Motor Neurone Disease Association of WA (MNDAWA) is recruiting a Business Manager to join our team.
MNDAWA delivers person-centred support and specialist care to people affected by MND in Western Australia.

The Business Manager is a full-time position reporting directly to the CEO.
This role connects strategy, operations and delivery; strengthening systems, processes and governance while supporting day-to-day organisational activities.
The position will lead operational improvements and process across finance, IT, systems and facilities to ensure robust operational foundations that enable meaningful impact.
The Business Manager works within the leadership team and drives operational excellence, fosters a culture of continuous improvement, and ensures organisational systems, processes, and resources are aligned with strategic objectives.
The role plays a critical part in supporting the CEO, strengthening organisational capability, and maintaining a safe, collaborative, and values-driven organisation.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Manages and cordinates the Associations data management and administration systems
Manage administrative and volunteer staff
Owns and manages all relationships with platform and systems providers
Ensures the ongoing integrity and integration of key system integrations




Embeds policies & procedures for administrative and systems processes
Executive Management support to the CEO
Manages operational support to the Fundraising, Events & Communications team
Manages staff onboarding and offboarding processes end to end
Manages IT issues and escalations through the IT support provider
Ensures risk management strategies are followed and contribute to risk management processes and updating of risk register in consultation with the CEO
Supports the CEO on commercial and partnership activity when required
Coordinates staff training, induction and orientation processes
Ensure compliance and certification processes are followed in line with the Association's policies and procedures and develop new policies & procedures when appropriate.
Works with finance partner to ensure the production of accurate and timely financial reports for the CEO and Board
Oversee equipment service processes and systems ensuring service standards are maintained in addition to accurate reporting and all equipment related services
Manages the Associations vehicles ensuring compliance with safety, servicing and maintenance
KEY CRITERIA
Demonstrated experience improving organisational systems, processes and overall effectiveness in an operational environment, including developing practical approaches to organising information,



maintaining shared knowledge, supporting effective use of digital tools and platforms.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets
Practical exposure to finance, systems integration, and organisational governance and risk management
Ability to influence and work collaboratively across teams, supporting others to adopt improved ways of working
High level judgement, initiative and accountability, including the ability to operate autonomously within defined boundaries and escalate appropriately
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear, concise and user-friendly policies, procedures and governance documents
Proven ability to deliver complex projects and initiatives across teams, including managing competing priorities and driving work through to completion
Desirable but not essential
Experience in a Not-for-Profit environment
Experience working with Salesforce and client management systems
Experience in grant acquittal reporting
Familiarity with fundraising and event campaigns
Conditions of Employment
Current WA driving Licence and own transport
NDIS worker Screening
National or International Police History Check, Working with Children Check and NDIS worker screening, prior to commencement and to be maintained during course of employment
