The Role
We are looking for an Enrolled Nurse to join our Urgent Care Service.
As a vital team member, you will provide high‐quality, protected and efficient nursing support for urgent conditions that are not immediately life‐threatening.
In collaboration with the Registered Nurses (RN), you will focus on ensuring all patients that present to the Urgent Care Service are given the appropriate care.

Your Responsibilities
Create a welcoming, organized and efficient clinical environment—keeping the centre compliant, stocked and efficient to support smooth daily operations.
Balance administrative responsibilities (40%) like Medicare billing, accurate coding and meticulous documentation with hands‐on clinical work (60%)
that directly impacts patient care.
Be the friendly face patients rely on—greeting them warmly, assisting with appointment scheduling, and maintaining up‐to‐date registration details to ensure the best patient experience.
Work alongside Registered Nurses to deliver exceptional care for injuries and illnesses, gaining valuable hands‐on experience in a collaborative healthcare setting.
Perform a variety of clinical care activities—including patient history assessment, medication administration, wound care, plastering and providing patient education that empowers their recovery.
Maintain professional standards and safety—ensuring all care is delivered within your scope of practice and aligns with ForHealth's policies to create a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Support patient guidance by making sound assessments of inclusion and exclusion criteria.
Document with precision and care—ensuring comprehensive, clear and accurate records that support ongoing patient treatment and quality care.
Champion workplace health and safety by actively participating in safety initiatives, promptly reporting incidents or hazards while fostering a secure and supportive work environment.
About You
Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse.
Must be flexible and available evenings and weekends.
Meet the minimum experience level in any one of the following:
3 years as a Primary Care/General practice nurse, OR
2 years in an Emergency Department or similar setting, OR
3 years in Medical/Surgical, Orthopaedics or similar acute care areas.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast‐paced environment,
handle escalations and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
A passion for patient‐centred care and a personable approach.
Required to provide a Working with Children's check, National Police check if not already obtained, and International police check where relevant.
