The Design Manager plays a critical leadership role in the delivery of engineering design services across the Company's various projects.
Responsible for managing multidisciplinary design teams, the role ensures that design deliverables meet technical, safety, quality, and schedule requirements.
The role requires oversight and coordination across engineering design disciplines and interfaces with procurement, construction, and client teams to ensure seamless project execution from concept through detailed design and construction support.
Key Responsibilities:Leadership, management and coordination of design teamsResourcing of design teams across projects to meet utilisation targetsDrive the adoption and utilisation of relevant CAD software required by design teamDefine design deliverables, budget & schedules for Company proposalsAssisting Lead Designers in assigning appropriate project resources during the planning phase of a projectEnsuring the project teams have the necessary support, training, skills,



resources required to successfully meet the project requirementsReview, checking and approval of design discipline deliverables
Skills and Qualification requirements:Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical, or equivalent); Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.15+ years of relevant engineering design experience, with substantial experience in a design management role within an EPC or EPCM workplace.Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams on large-scale capital projects.Strong understanding of the EPCM project lifecycle, stage-gate processes, and construction-driven design practices.Knowledge of industry standards and design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Tekla, Microstation, SmartPlant, Revit, AVEVA, or discipline-specific software).
Exceptional leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage and inspire technical teams.Strong strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities.
