We are seeking an experienced
Digital Solutions Web Designer
to lead the design, development and ongoing improvement of our web platforms and digital business systems.
This role will work closely with management and internal stakeholders to deliver innovative web solutions that support our customers and employees.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop and maintain Northpharm's public websites, customer portals and internal web applications.
• Create responsive, user-friendly website layouts and user interface (UI) designs that provide an excellent user experience (UX).
• Develop front-end and back-end web solutions using modern web technologies.
• Build and maintain secure, scalable and high-performing websites.
• Design, develop and test new website features and digital services.
• Analyse business requirements and translate them into effective web-based solutions.
• Develop and maintain web-based business applications to improve internal operational efficiency and support Northpharm's digital transformation initiatives.
• Develop, customise and support internal digital solutions using Microsoft technologies, including SharePoint, Power Platform and related business applications where required.
• Maintain website databases, digital content and system integrations.
• Design, maintain and optimise SQL databases, data structures and reporting functions to support business operations and informed decision-making.
• Support integration between websites and internal business systems, including inventory, ordering and customer management platforms.
• Perform website testing, debugging,



troubleshooting and performance optimisation.
• Monitor website security, backups and software updates.
• Prepare technical documentation, user guides and development standards.
• Collaborate with internal departments to improve digital workflows and automate business processes.
• Provide ongoing technical support and recommend continuous improvements to Northpharm's digital platforms.
Essential Skills & Experience
• Degree qualification in Web Design, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in website design and web application development.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
• Experience with responsive web design principles.
• Experience using modern front-end frameworks such as Angular or React.
• Knowledge of SQL databases and database maintenance.
• Experience integrating APIs and third-party systems.
• Understanding of website security, accessibility and performance optimisation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
Desirable Skills
Experience with one or more of the following would be highly regarded:
• Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
• SharePoint Online
• Power BI
• Azure Cloud Services
• UI/UX Design
• Git version control
• Agile software development methodologies
• Content Management Systems (CMS)
