Boddington is a flagship Newmont gold and copper operation in Western Australia, located about 130 kilometres south-east of Perth and 16 kilometres from the rural town of Boddington.
This large open-pit mine is among Australia's biggest gold producers and in **** it became the world's first gold mine to implement an Autonomous Haulage System (driverless haul trucks) – a pioneering step for safety and innovation.

Your impact
As an
Advisor, Projects
, you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of Sustaining Capital Projects across Boddington Gold Mine through project readiness, risk management and operational readiness activities.
Reporting to the Superintendent, Sustaining Capital Projects, you will work closely with engineers, supervisors, project teams and operational stakeholders to ensure projects are appropriately planned, risks are effectively managed and readiness activities are completed prior to execution.
Using your practical project and operational experience, you will facilitate workshops, coordinate key project activities and help drive collaboration across teams to support safe, efficient and successful project delivery.
As part of our team you will
Facilitate project risk assessment workshops and support the identification, tracking and close-out of mitigation actions




Coordinate execution readiness activities for Sustaining Capital Projects, ensuring key requirements are completed prior to project execution
Facilitate operational readiness meetings and governance processes to support successful project delivery and operational handover
Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance and Project teams to build alignment and support project outcomes
Monitor and track project risks, actions and readiness activities, providing regular updates to stakeholders
Maintain project governance documentation, records and team communication platforms, including SharePoint
Coordinate site access and associated requirements for personnel working across Newmont and South32 operational areas in accordance with cross-operational agreements and project requirements
Liaise with project teams and operational stakeholders to ensure effective planning, communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle
Support compliance with project governance, readiness and risk management processes
Prepare project performance reports, meeting outputs and action registers to support informed decision making
Assist with the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives that enhance project delivery, governance and team effectiveness
Build solid working relationships with supervisors, engineers, contractors and operational personnel to support the successful execution of sustaining capital projects
Prerequisites for your success in the role
Demonstrated experience in project administration, project coordination or project support roles within mining, construction, engineering, infrastructure or heavy industry environments
Experience supporting projects, construction, maintenance shutdowns, sustaining capital projects or operational improvement initiatives




Ability to facilitate workshops, meetings and risk assessments involving operational and technical stakeholders
Experience working with supervisors, engineers, project teams and contractors to coordinate activities and drive outcomes
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage documentation, track actions and coordinate multiple competing priorities
Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to work through issues using sound judgement and established processes
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the confidence to engage and influence operational and technical personnel
Experience maintaining project documentation, reports, action registers and governance processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and SharePoint
Previous supervisory, operational, maintenance, construction or project experience is highly regarded
Understanding of project delivery, project readiness, operational readiness, risk management or sustaining capital projects is desirable
Formal qualifications in Project Management, Business, Engineering or a related discipline are beneficial but not essential
Current C-Class Driver's Licence

and is based at
Boddington Gold Mine
, one of Australia's largest open-pit gold mining operations.
Working within the
Sustaining Capital Projects team
, you will collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance and Project stakeholders to support project governance, risk management, execution readiness and operational readiness activities across a diverse portfolio of sustaining capital projects.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in ensuring sustaining capital projects are effectively planned, risks are identified and managed, and operational teams are prepared for successful project execution and handover.
Village accommodation is available for the successful candidate, with the option to live locally and commute daily under a
Drive In / Drive Out (DIDO)
arrangement.
