Neonatal & Perinatal Medicine at Flinders Medical Centre,

In this role, you
will:
Ensures that each consumer's
care has a direct line of responsibility to a Consultant (in
their relevant specialty),
In collaboration with the
Clinical Director -Women's and Children's Division, ensures the
effective and efficient operation of the team,
Responsible for developing
and implementing medical staff planning - including, strategic
planning, succession planning and rostering,
Oversees and facilitates the
care of complex consumers including chairing of multi-agency
care planning and priority in conducting second
opinions,
In collaboration with the




Clinical Director - Women's and Children's Division,
coordinates the clinical teaching and supervision of
undergraduate students, trainees and junior staff
About
You
To be successful in this role, you
will bring:
Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor
of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, Fellowship of the Royal
Australasian College of Physicians (RACP), and eligibility for
Specialist Registration in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine with the
Medical Board of Australia,
Demonstrated clinical
expertise in Neonatology within a tertiary (Level 6) setting,
with a strong commitment to delivering safe, high-quality,
person and family-centred care,
Exceptional leadership and
communication skills, with the ability to lead
multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior medical staff and build
collaborative relationships with a broad range of
stakeholders,
Proven ability to manage
competing priorities, make sound clinical and operational
decisions, and effectively solve complex problems in a dynamic
healthcare environment,
A commitment to education,
teaching and continuous professional development, with
experience supervising medical students, trainees and junior
medical staff,
Experience in clinical
research, quality improvement and audit activities, alongside a




solid understanding of the National Safety and Quality Health
Service Standards, risk management and contemporary healthcare
practices
