Job description:
Your Role - Geologist, Projects
Reporting to the
Superintendent, Geology
, the Project Geologist plays a critical role in executing and supporting grade control activities, ensuring accuracy to maximise ore value, while driving continuous improvement, safety, and team development.
The position contributes to the safe and effective execution of drilling programs that support resource growth and long-term mine planning,
playing a key role in strengthening geological understanding and information operational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Lead geological mapping, sampling, orebody interpretation and data analysis to support accurate grade control modelling.
Oversee grade control execution to maximise ore recovery and minimize dilution, working collaboratively with mining and processing teams.
Plan and schedule ore control activities and resource development drilling programs, ensuring safe and efficient delivery.
Integrate geological data into mine plans through short-term model development and reconciling mine-to-mill performance to identify improvement opportunities.
Drive continuous improvement across ore control and drilling processes, preparing high-quality technical reports and contributing safe, consistent work practices.
Mentor geologists and field staff through technical training, field supervision, and work review to ensure technical competency and safe work practices.

About You
You are a passionate and technically capable geologist who thrives in a agile production environment.
You enjoy solving geological challenges, interpreting complex datasets, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to maximise value and recovery from our current resources.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Tertiary qualifications in Geology or a related field, with practical experience in mine geology, resource definition or mineral exploration within a mining environment.
Experience managing drilling programs and interpreting geological data.
Demonstrated experience in geological and mining software (MinePlan, Vulcan, Leapfrog, SQL databases, Power BI and Tableau) with exposure to Python and database management.
Strong procedural problem solving skills, with the ability to apply practical judgement, improve work methods through day-today learning, and work effectively within established processes.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, including presenting technical information clearly, building productive relationships, and contributing positively to team environments.
Demonstrated commitment to safety and environmental standards, with the ability to adapt behaviour, follow compliance requirements, and operate a manual light vehicle.
