Hayden's Pies
is looking for an experienced, energetic, and organised
Kitchen Manager
to lead our high-volume production kitchen.
As a true South Coast institution, we take great pride in crafting premium, handmade pies using the finest local ingredients.
Working alongside our General Manager, you will oversee daily operations, manage a passionate, diverse kitchen team, and ensure our award-winning standards are maintained across every single production line.
This is a full-time hands-on position based at our commercial kitchen in Ulladulla NSW.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Team Leadership
:
Roster, train, mentor and supervise bakers, chefs, apprentices and kitchen hands.
Production Management
:
Oversee daily production to meet ever-changing demands
Quality Control
:
Maintain strict consistency, flavour, and pastry quality.
Inventory & Ordering
:
Manage stock levels, reduce waste, and coordinate with local suppliers.
Food Safety
:
Enforce food safety regulations and kitchen cleanliness.
Workflow Optimisation
:
Keep the kitchen running efficiently during peak periods.
What We Are Looking For
Proven Experience
:
Strong background as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef,



Baker or Production Manager.
Baking Knowledge
:
Commercial experience with pastry production and lamination is highly regarded.
Leadership Skills
:
Excellent communication skills with an honest, positive, upbeat management style.
Composure
:
Ability to stay calm, organised, and focused under pressure.
Certifications
:
Current Food Safety Supervisor certificate (or willingness to obtain) and current driver's licence
