We are seeking a Coordinator
Mental Health to provide service and people leadership within the
Child and Adolescent Forensic Service (CAFS).
This is a key team
leadership role within a complex, multi-agency workplace,
requiring the ability to build, sustain and strengthen strategic
partnerships while maintaining service-level accountability.
Strong
operational leadership, advanced clinical judgement, and ability to
navigate ambiguity are critical for success.
This is for a Permanent
Full-Time appointment.
About the
role
You will provide operational
and people leadership to ensure the effective running of the
service, while maintaining clinical oversight in partnership with
the consultant psychiatrist.
Key responsibilities
include:
Day-to-day service
management (workflows, staffing, reporting,
compliance)
Leadership of a
multidisciplinary team
Oversight of clinical
risk, triage, and escalation
Resource
management across workforce, systems, and
infrastructure
Stakeholder management
across health, justice, community services and the NGO partner,
Yirra Dandjoo.
You will play a key role in
enhancing service delivery and shaping the ongoing implementation
of the CAFS model of care.
About
CAFS
CAFS is a statewide
specialist community mental health service supporting young people
aged ***** who have complex mental health needs and are involved
in, or at risk of entering, the justice system.
The service
operates in close partnership with the non-government program Yirra
Dandjoo (Centrecare and Waalitj Foundation), providing integrated
clinical, psychosocial, and culturally responsive
support.
CAFS operates from a
purpose-built facility in Northbridge and continues to expand and
refine its integrated model of care.
About
you
You are an experienced
mental health professional who can lead effectively in complex,
evolving environments.
You bring:
Experience leading
multidisciplinary teams in a child and adolescent mental health
(or related) setting
Strong
operational, resource, and service management
capability
Advanced
clinical knowledge and judgment to oversee service
delivery
Demonstrated experience
in building and nurturing effective stakeholder
relationships
Ability
to organise and prioritise competing demands
Ability
to lead through change and ambiguity while maintaining service
stability
Most importantly, you can




hold and strengthen the service operationally, while enabling your
team to deliver safe, high-quality care in a complex
environment.
