The Opportunity
We are seeking a driven and technically skilled Technical Sales Representative to join our team in Western Australia.
This role focuses on maintaining and expanding our customer base, particularly within the mining and minerals processing sectors, but also other industries such as general manufacturing.
You'll play a critical key role in supporting clients to implement our connected solutions and to support them on their journey to digitally enabled lubrication systems.
This is a home-office-based role with regular travel required to the Goldfields region to support key iron ore mining customers.
Perth is a suitable base, but locations in the Kalgoorlie will also be considered.
We are able to present flexible work plan options.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support to new and existing customers to ensure optimal use of Perma lubrication systems
Promote and technically support the implementation of our connected lubrication solutions with a key focus on our LoRaWAN enabled products
Collaborate with distribution partners to grow their sales and technical capabilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities, from prospecting to implementation
Conduct technical assessments and prepare written recommendations and quotations
Perform equipment surveys, particularly on fixed plant assets such as motors, conveyors, pumps, and fans
Deliver training to customer personnel on Perma products and systems




Maintain regular activity reports and contribute to business development planning
The remuneration package is negotiable, based on experience and includes a fully maintained vehicle, a home office allowance and excellent opportunities for bonuses.

Skills and experience
Proven ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
Minimum 3 years' experience in technical sales, ideally within the mining sector, but not essential.

Demonstrated success in business growth and client relationship management
Mechanical trade qualification or engineering background - preferred but not essential
Generally strong mechanical aptitude
Understanding of lubrication principles and rolling element bearings - preferred but not essential
Interest in IIoT technologies, the digital transition and connected lubrication systems
Knowledge of fixed plant equipment in mining and mineral processing
Experience working with reliability, maintenance, and condition monitoring teams
Hands-on approach to technical support and client engagement
Physical capability for site audits and equipment inspections
Willingness to complete site inductions, medical clearances, and drug/alcohol testing
Willingness to regularly travel to client operations
Strong written communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
