Full Time - Fixed Term Contract, Paternity Leave Cover - Commences 6th October and Ceases 3rd September ******** hours per fortnight

Centacare invites applications from dedicated and passionate Counsellors to join our School Wellbeing Program in Dubbo.
You will become part of a supportive team committed to helping students grow resilience, confidence and emotional wellbeing in a safe caring school environment.
About the Role
As a Counsellor in the School Wellbeing Program you will provide professional therapeutic support to students their families and school communities.
You will work alongside another Centacare counsellor and work closely with teachers and wellbeing staff to strengthen mental health, promote safety and support positive development for every student.
This role offers variety, meaning and the chance to make a real difference across several school communities while being supported by clinical supervision, professional development and a strong team culture.
You Will
• Provide individual counselling to students
• Support teachers, families and school staff with consultation and guidance
• Deliver group programs focused on wellbeing,



resilience and emotional growth
• Respond supportively during times of crisis within school communities
• Maintain professional confidential and accurate case records
• Participate in supervision training and team development
• Work collaboratively with school communities to foster positive outcomes
You Will Bring
• A recognised tertiary qualification in psychology social work, counselling or a related field
• Experience supporting children and adolescents in a school or community setting
• Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
• A genuine desire to support vulnerable children and families
• Confidence in working independently and as part of a team
• A commitment to ethical practice and child safety
