Dadirri Disability Services provides supported independent living in a group home setting for people with disabilities.
Your role will be to assist our residents in achieving their full potential, and to help them attain their highest level of independency and integration into the community.
Our group homes operate a 24-hour roster, 7-days a week, 365-days a year, therefore we can offer both day shifts and nights shifts depending upon your availability.
The position will begin as casual, with part-time contracts considered after a 12-month employment period.
You will:
Facilitate the residents personal development and community participation
Assist in the effective day-to-day operation of our group homes
Promote and maintain a healthy and safe environment for our residents
Selection Criteria - Essential
Experience working with people with disabilities
Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
NDIS Workers Screening Check
Ability to work as part of a team
Current drivers license
Understanding of EEO and anti-discrimination, WHS principles and commitment to ethical practices
Selection Criteria - Desirable
Understanding of NDIS Practice Standards
NDIS Worker Orientation Modules completed
Current First Aid and CRP Certificate
