Euroa Health is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable part time Cook to join our Food Services team.
Working within our aged care and healthcare environment, you will play an important role in delivering delicious, nutritious meals that support the wellbeing of our residents, patients, clients and staff.
?️ About the Role
Reporting to the Head Chef, you will be responsible for the preparation, cooking and presentation of meals while ensuring compliance with food safety standards and dietary requirements.
This is a hands-on role where you will work collaboratively with the food services team to deliver exceptional food services and maintain a safe, efficient kitchen environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Prepare, cook and present meals in accordance with food safety requirements and individual dietary needs
Assist with menu planning and recipe development
Support the delivery of specialised diets and nutritional requirements
Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene and cleanliness
Monitor stock levels and use food supplies responsibly
Participate in food safety audits and quality improvement activities
Assist with catering for special events, resident celebrations, meetings and functions
Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide outstanding customer service
Support the orientation and training of new staff as required
??? About You ???
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Food Handling Certificate (or equivalent)
Previous experience as a cook, preferably within aged care, healthcare, hospitality or commercial catering
Solid knowledge of food safety standards and quality control processes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated commitment to customer service and resident-centred care
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage stock effectively
High standards of cleanliness, food hygiene and kitchen presentation
Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
Has or is willing to obtain a Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check
