About the roles
Based in Kingaroy
Permanent Full Time
$67K- $69K per annum + Allowances + Super
Council is seeking an officer to assist our Fleet team with day-to-day operations of truck fleet and other plant and equipment for all Council departments.
This position will transport plant, equipment and water tankers to various job sites, council facilities and out of the region for repairs.
They will also maintain records of plant and vehicle movements to monitor mobilisation and utilisation data.
The successful applicant will have relevant experience in operating and working with heavy earthmoving plant and machinery.
Sound organisational skills with the ability to establish work priorities, complete assigned tasks within required standards and meet deadlines with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Mandatory Qualifications
Minimum requirement of a current HC Truck driver's licence, with a willingness to obtain MC Truck licence
Load and unload plant competency, or willingness to obtain
General Safety Induction for Construction Worker Certificate (White Card)

Skills and experience

Substantial relevant experience in operating and working with heavy earthmoving plant and machinery with the ability to load and unload a variety of equipment onto the Prime Mover.
Sound literacy and numeracy skills.
Proven ability to prioritise tasks, follow direction and work under minimal supervision.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Sound understanding of NHVR legislation and workplace health and safety principles and practices.
