About the role -
Disability Support Worker for ongoing casual shifts, including sleepovers with the possibility to turn to permanent part time in the future.
Your primary responsibility will be supporting people with a broad range of disabilities including autism, epilepsy, psycho-social disability, cognitive support needs, high physical support needs and Acquired Brain Injury
This can involve manual handling, PEG feeding, community access, transportation, personal care, and companionship.
This role is perfect for someone with a person-centered approach, who is energetic and excited to make a difference in people's life and is passionate about the work they do.
To be considered for this opportunity, you would have the following skills and attributes:
Experience within the disability sector preferred.
Clear and effective communication skills and ability to establish a qualified relationship with participant and their families
Attention to detail and accuracy in record management
Flexibility to work over a 24/7 roster and available to work overnight shifts or attend training or meetings as required
Mandatory requirement
Please note that the successful applicant will be required to hold or be willing to obtain a
Working with Children Check and National Police check,
First Aid and CPR.
You must have a current
Unrestricted Driving License
