Resident Medical Officer – General Medicine
East Metropolitan Health Service – Armadale WA
This is a recruitment pool for fixed‐term full‐time appointments for 12 months with the possibility of extension.
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur.
Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/01/2027.
Role Overview
The General Medicine Department provides a 24‐hour medical service for adult patients.
The Resident Medical Officer will deliver high‐quality clinical care to all hospital patients under the supervision of consultants within a multidisciplinary team.
The role also supports professional growth through available learning opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide clinical service to adult patients in accordance with core values of Commitment, Accountability, Respect and Excellence.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
Engage in clinical audit and evidence‐based practice initiatives.
Assist in patient admissions, assessments, investigations and discharge planning.
Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
Contribute to continuous professional development and site training programs.
Candidate Requirements
Medical degree (MBBS, MBChB, MD or equivalent).
Residency or internship completed in a recognised medical training program.
Experience in general medicine or related clinical settings is desirable.
Current, valid email address for communication.




Ability to work flexible hours, including night and weekend shifts.
