We're looking for someone warm, proactive, and confident working with children to join the practice one day per week, with opportunities to grow additional hours over time.This role could suit someone currently studying Optometry, Optical Dispensing, health sciences, psychology, education, or another related field who is looking to gain hands‐on experience in a practice environment.The RoleWednesdays requiredFlexible hours each week, with after-school availability essentialOpportunity for additional days during school holidays and on FridaysLocated in St Ives with public transport nearbyWhat You'll Be DoingThis is a diverse role where no two days look the same.
You'll be involved in:Supporting children and families throughout appointmentsAssisting with recalls and appointment coordinationHelping grow awareness of the practice through Instagram and FacebookGeneral reception and administrative supportContributing ideas and using initiative to support practice growthThis is not a heavily sales-focused dispensing role,



and previous dispensing experience is not essential.About YouYou might already have experience in:Customer serviceReception or administrationHealthcare or allied health environmentsWorking with childrenSocial media content or engagementWe'd love to hear from someone who:Communicates confidently and warmly with children and parentsIs organised and adaptableEnjoys taking initiative rather than waiting to be askedIs comfortable with changing schedules and a flexible work environmentHas a genuine interest in eye care, children's development, or healthcareExperience using Sunix is a bonus, though not essential.A Working With Children Check is required for this role.
