You excel in environments focused heavily on mechanical assembly, particularly where complex products are received in kit form and built out into high-quality, finished heavy transport equipment.
About you:
Tertiary trade qualifications (e.g., Fabricator, Boilermaker, Mechanical Fitter, or Motor Mechanic) at a minimum.
Proven experience as a Production Manager, Workshop Manager, or Senior Foreman in heavy manufacturing, automotive, or transport equipment.
A robust focus on mechanical assembly processes, component integration, and quality control.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills—you know how to build team culture, manage varying personalities, and keep morale high.
Highly organized with a knack for scheduling, resource allocation, and meeting strict delivery deadlines.
Dedicated to workplace safety (WHS) and driving continuous improvement on the floor.
What you will be doing:
Leading, mentoring, and managing a dedicated team of assemblers, fabricators, and tradespeople.




Overseeing the end-to-end assembly process of specialized transport equipment, predominantly working from kit-form components.
Coordinating workshop schedules to ensure production targets and delivery timelines are consistently met.
Managing quality assurance, ensuring all finished builds meet strict structural and mechanical standards.
Trouble-shooting assembly bottlenecks and optimizing workshop layouts for better throughput.
Fostering a safe, productive, and highly collaborative team environment.
