As a Survey Technician / Graduate Surveyor, you will undertake technical surveying work and support the delivery of survey work across infrastructure, cadastral, and engineering projects.
You will work across field, office and project functions and may work towards registration.
The role provides direct exposure to statutory work, infrastructure, and land development projects.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct field surveys using total stations, GPS, levels and laser scanning equipment
Process and analyse survey data using CAD, GIS or BIM software
Draft feature, detail and contour plans from field data
Draft plans for subdivision, easements, leases and engineering set‐out
Maintain, calibrate and operate survey equipment
Assist in set‐out of infrastructure and built workplace projects
Work under supervision of Registered Surveyors for legal plans
Produce and check technical documentation and reports
Provide support to graduate surveyors and assistants on‐site
Maintain equipment in clean and calibrated condition
Qualifications
Strong mathematical and spatial reasoning skills
High attention to detail and data accuracy
Ability to work outdoors in a physically demanding environment
Adaptable to changing field and office environments
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Organised and self‐motivated
Minimum Cert IV in Surveying or related discipline
Interest in career progression or further study
