Position overview
The Research Fellow (Biostatistician) will contribute substantially to both research and teaching within the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health, with a strong emphasis on biostatistics.
The role involves conducting high-quality independent and collaborative research, publishing findings in peer-reviewed journals, securing competitive research funding, and contributing to the delivery of externally funded projects.
A key responsibility of the position will be convening and coordinating two courses in the Masters of Public Health (MPH), with one of these courses being compulsory for both the MPH and the Population Health honours program.
The role will contribute to curriculum development, preparation and delivery of lectures and tutorials, assessment, student support, and the development of innovative teaching materials.
The Research Fellow will also supervise and mentor students across a range of academic levels, helping to build research capability and support student success while strengthening the Centre's reputation for excellence in both research and education.
